What’s for lunch today? My salad has spicy taco chicken, organic salsa, spinach, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, 1/2 avocado and is topped with Pepper & Flavor God: Everything Spicy.
If you’re not making your own taco seasoning, be careful which brands you purchase. It’s important to purchase an Organic Seasoning like, Simply Organic, to avoid those treated with chemicals, that contain GMOs, anti-caking agents, and/or toxic pesticides. Good quality spices have medicinal properties and can help boost metabolism (paprika), fight inflammation (cinnamon) and curb hunger (cayenne), so make sure you’re getting the benefits you deserve!
This Spicy Taco Chicken is the best to make a big batch of and then quickly throw your salads together the night before or morning of.
For the Chicken, you will need:
- Simply Organic Spicy Taco Seasoning Packet
- 1 lb Chicken
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- optional: extra cayenne or sriracha if you like it spicier.
Simply melt the coconut oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chicken and cook for a few minutes. Then add 1/2 the Simply Organic Taco Seasoning Packet, covering the chicken and continuing to turn while it finishes cooking, about 10 minutes, or until no longer pink in the middle. Let the chicken cool and store in an air tight container in the fridge.
