I have always been a huge fan of green smoothies! They’re easy, fast and convenient, while providing a great serving of vegetables. Smoothie Bowls are one of my more recent obsessions, because now I can have a healthy sundae topped with superfoods that provide even more satisfaction than the smoothies alone.
You can be creative with your bowl, picking your own toppings and changing up the base.
This recipe will yield two smoothie bowl bases.
You will need:
- 1 cup frozen organic mango
- 3/4 organic banana
- 3/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 large handful organic spinach
- 1 organic avocado
- Toppings: raspberries, remaining banana from base, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, figs, unsweetened coconut, drizzle of honey
Blend the smoothie base ingredients together. It will form a think, frozen yogurt-like texture. Separate into two bowls. Dress with your toppings.
