I am still experimenting with this recipe, but the first batch tasted great!
These bites are packed full of protein and healthy fats. They make the perfect pre and post workout snack to help repair and rebuild your muscles.
For this recipe, you will need:
- 8 scoops chocolate protein powder
- 1 cup gluten free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all natural peanut butter
- 3/4 cup coconut milk
- 4 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 4 handfuls raw cashews, chopped in blender
- 4 tbsp raw shelled hemp seeds
Combine the protein powder, oats, peanut butter, coconut milk, honey and cacao powder well. Lightly process the cashews in your blender and add to a shallow bowl with the hemp seeds. Form the batter into small balls, bars, or cookie shapes. Roll in the cashews and hemp seeds. Place on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for 45 minutes – 1 hour, then move to the fridge. Be sure to keep these in the fridge. As I am still playing around with the recipe, they are soft, and best kept cool.
