This Chocolate Maca Overnight Smoothie is full of protein, fibre, antioxidants and healthy fats. It’s quick to throw together the night before, and you can grab and head straight out the door in the morning. It has over 16g of Plant Based Protein to power your morning and keep you feeling full longer! It’s packed with hemp seeds, flax seed, and maca powder.

Maca is an adaptogenic root, meaning it raises the body’s state of resistance to disease. It’s known for boosting energy, balancing hormones, improving stress resistance and it’s high in B Vitamins. It also stimulates the hypothalamus and pituitary glands, which are the master glands of the body and will help regulate other glands, such as adrenal and thyroid.

For this Smoothie, you will need:

  • 1/2 cup organic oats
  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 0.5-1 tsp maca powder
  • 1.5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

The night before add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer into a glass jar or container and store in the fridge overnight. If you find the smoothie too thick in the morning, feel free to add a splash of coconut milk until desired consistency.
