Banana Bread is one of my favourite things to whip up because it’s super easy and I always have the ingredients on hand. I decided to experiment a little this time and up the protein in this recipe. It turned out great! It tastes even better warmed up with a little nut butter on top.

Each slice of this loaf boasts approximately 10g of Protein! Perfect for pre and post workout.

Chocolate Banana Protein Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp all natural peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • dark chocolate chips for the top

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Place 1 cup of oats in the blender and blend into an oat flour. Pour into a large mixing bowl with the other cup of oats.
  • Now place bananas, eggs, vanilla, peanut butter, cinnamon, protein powder and ground flaxseed in the blender, Blend on high and pour into mixing bowl with dry oats.
  • Combine well and pour into a small loaf pan, greased with coconut oil.
  • Top with chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clear.
