We are constantly hearing of different alternatives to white, refined sugar. Some that are classified as “superfoods” and others that are healthier alternatives.
This information can be super contradicting and confusing. For example, Agave. Still up for debate if it’s a healthier alternative to sugar, or if it still has the same ill effects that sugar does. I won’t go on a rant about my personal opinion about it, I’ll leave that one up to you.
I try to stick to only 2 sweeteners, good quality honey and real organic maple syrup. I’m open to Coconut Sugar, but would try it in my baking recipes. I don’t feel I need to incorporate more sugars and sweeteners into my diet, I try to keep these to a minimal amount.
